When the the gateway has been plugged to power source and turned ON and the loggers have a connection to the Gateway, you should see measurements in the user interface. Please note, that you will possibly need to wait for 5 minutes until the first measurements can be seen in the user interface.
Configure preparation
Before you start to configure the system, you should define the functionality of your Facility Monitoring system and define people involved.
- Name of spaces and rooms monitored
- Give the space a name, the name will be used as a Group Name
- Loggers identity, name and placement
- Write down the ID number of the logger and give it a name (e.g. Storage 1 - Front)
- Groups
- Define groups i.e. groups of loggers that monitor a defined space
- Define in what group each logger should be in
- System Administrator
- Should be defined in the system when delivered
- Users
- Define users i.e. make a list of names, emails, mobile numbers and roles
- Roles
- Administrator. A person that has full access to the User Interface and can change every parameter in the system. His role is to be responsible for the system as a whole
- Supervisor. A person that has a view and function change access to the User Interface. His role is

- is to be responsible for the Facility Monitoring i.e. configure measurement requirements and criteria and define persons that will receive notification/alert if a logger is out of bounds
- Watchman. A person who a view access to the User Interface. His role is to receive alerts (SMS and emails) if the system/logger goes out of bounds.
Configuration
Please read the User Manual for the Facility Monitoring User Interface (FMUI) before you start to configure the system, see
it is quite simple to start using the Controlant Facility Monitoring System. All devices are calibrated and validated before delivery and the Loggers and the Gateways has been defined in the Controlant cloud.
