Gateways relies on 3G cellular networks to transmit loggers data to the Controlant cloud. Same rules applies to these radio communications as all other mobile and high frequency communications. If the signal is low or bad, that will effect the functionality of the system. However, the system take that into account and sends the data to the Controlant cloud when the cellular connection has been re-established. 

The wall types in a warehouse can effect the signal quality as well as the device installation itself.
