Follow these steps when adding a Saga device to a shipment:
Check the BATTERY STATUS
If the battery level is OVER 90% (or adequately charged to complete a shipment as per agreements), go to step 2.
If the battery level is UNDER 90% (or not adequately charged to complete a shipment as per agreements), plug the device into a charging station (provided by Controlant)/USB charging adapter/computer USB port until it reaches the required battery level to function. A charging period of up to 6 hours is required to fully charge the Saga device from 0-100%.
Check the CLOUD CONNECTION STATUS
If the cloud connection is OK, as indicated by a CLOUD ICON WITH A CHECKMARK, please proceed to step 3.
If the connection FAILED, as indicated by a CLOUD ICON WITH AN X, try waking up the device by connecting it to a charging station provided by Controlant, a USB charging adapter, or a computer USB port, then disconnect and wait for 10 minutes to see if the device can connect to the cloud. If the CLOUD ICON WITH AN X or the SYNCING ICON continues to be displayed, please contact support@controlant.com, stating the location (country) and device ID number, and choose a different device.
Check the SHIPMENT STATUS
A device that has not received shipment information shows the text FREE at the SHIPMENT STATUS. If that is the case, proceed to step 4.
If SHIPPING shows in the top left corner of the display the SHIPMENT STATUS, and the SHIPPING LED blinks every 5 seconds, please contact support@controlant.com, stating the location (country) and device ID number.
Pair the device with the shipment on the Supply Chain Monitoring (SCM) platform
You need to access the SCM platform with your username and password. Pairing requires a specific role assigned to you by an Admin user. If you have any problems, please get in touch with support@controlant.com.
Press the START BUTTON on the device to start the shipment
Press and hold the START BUTTON for 5–8 seconds to activate the device.
The SHIPMENT LED lights up when the device registers the button press as valid and remains on for 3 seconds. The lit-up led light means that you can release the button.
With this step, you initiated the shipment. It is essential to consider the most appropriate Ignore period. This period allows the device to reach the most accurate temperature inside the packaging of goods.
According to the operational procedures, please ensure that the shipment is started with a considered Ignore period. This period can be set on the SCM platform to meet your needs.
