3.3.3 Trailer (Delivery van with a cargo area)
When installing a vehicle CO 01.02 (CO 11.02) and loggers (CO 03.01 and CO 13.01) one must consider how the RF communications is optimized. The gateway must be in a good cellular connection and the loggers must be in a good RF connection with the gateway.
Delivered product
Gateway CO 01.02 or CO 11.02
Two RF antennas
Combined GSM cellular antenna and GPS antenna
Power cable with fuse holder
Note. In older versions, a small GSM antenna was delivered with the gateway and a GPS antenna, connected to a extension cable
Hardware basics
Connect the power cable (Fuse holder) to the vehicle ignition power (12V or 24V)
Fasten the two RF antenna on the top of the gateway
Fasten the combined GSM/GPS antenna in the vehicle front window
Connect the GPS plug, from the antenna (3) to the right connector site of the gateway (Orange label)
Connect the GSM plug, from the antenna (3) to the bottom connector of the gateway (Blue label)
Connect the power cable to the gateway
Turn the gateway ON with the toggle switch
When the Green LED light is ON for 7 seconds and OFF for half second, then the gateway is connected to the Controlant Cloude, see 1.3.4.4 Gateway LED light behavior

Fasten the gateway in vertical position behind the passenger or the driver seat
It is important that the gateway is not placed under the dashboard. The reason is that we want to maximize the RF signal connection between the gateway and the loggers
Connect the power cable to ignition power
Fasten the combined GSM/GPS antenna in the front window and lay the cable to the gateway
Connect the GSM and the GPS antenna cables to the gateway
Fasten the two RF antenna on the gateway
Turn the gateway ON
