1.3.2 Quick Installation Guide - Gateway



Delivered parts with the gateway (CO 01.01, CO 11.01)

Before you begin please make sure that you have the following items at hand:

1. Gateway
2. 2 x RF antennas (Long)
3. 1 x Cellular antenna (short)
4. Power supply - Wall adapter

Gateway component purpose 

  1. RF Antenna – Communication with loggers

  2. Mobile antenna – Communication with Controlant Cloud through cellular network

  3. DC power connection. 7V to 13V DC

  4. LED light indicator

  5. ON/OFF switch (I=ON, O=OFF)

  6. Fastening hole

  7. Device type name (CO 01.01 for Europe, CO 11.01 for USA/Canada)

  8. Device ID number

Assemble the gateway

1 - Fasten the two RF antennas on top of the gateway. Make sure that the antennas are fastened enough.

2 - Fasten the GSM cellular antenna (the shortest antenna) on the bottom part of the gateway. Make sure that the antennas are fastened enough.

3 - Connect the power supply to the gateway

4 - Connect the power supply/wall adapter to a wall power socket 

Turning the Gateway ON

  1. Turn the Gateway ON using the ON/OFF switch

  2. Wait until the LED indicator starts blinking (can be up to one (1) minute.

  3. Monitor the LED behavior, see LED behavior description

  4. Wait for up to five minutes until the gateway has connected to the Controlant Cloud, GREEN for 7 seconds and OFF for 0,5 seconds, see #4 in LED behavior description.

Make sure that the gateway is securely mounted with the antennas pointing upwards (vertical position).
