Account access

To setup your user account, Controlant Support will email the account provided with a link to the Facility Monitoring User Interface and a temporary login name and a password. Please log into the system with the provided account information then change your email and password according to your preference. Contact Controlant Support at support@controlant.com if there is any issue.

Once you setup your username and password, you can access Controlant's Facility Monitoring Interface.

Configuration information

Please prepare your facility drawing (map) with device location and the device installation log before programming the device(s) in the User Interface. These are the best practices: 1.3.3 Installation preparation and process.

The device installation log should include.:

  • Name of spaces and rooms monitored: Space which will be used as a Group Name
  • Loggers identity, name and placement : Device ID number and name (e.g. Storage 1 - Front)
  • Groups
    • Define groups - loggers that monitor a defined space
    • Define the group of each logger 
  • System Administrator: The elected system administrator defined during setup
  • Users : Names, emails, mobile numbers and roles, of those using Controlant's system
  • Roles
    • Administrator. Has full access to the User Interface with the ability to change every parameter in the system. They are responsible for overall system management.
    • Supervisor. Can view and change their function's access to the User Interface. They are responsible for the Facility Monitoring including managing configuration measurement requirements/criteria and defining users who will receive excursion notifications/alerts.
    • Watchman. View-only access to the User Interface. Their role is to receive alerts (SMS and emails) if the system/logger goes out of bounds.
