Draft Shipments APP
The Draft Shipments APP is for users that add loggers to shipments. This is the user documentation for the Draft Shipments APP.
When opening the APP for the first time, the user will have to register by logging in with username and password for the Supply Chain Monitoring (SCM) system. After the first login, the user is saved in the APP and can therefore log in next time by selecting the user and entering the password. Multiple users can exist in the APP for one device. To switch between users, tap the CHANGE USER button and to add a new user tap the NEW USER button (see images below). If a user using the APP doesn't log out the user stays logged in the APP for 14 days and is then automatically logged out. It's recommended that if the device is used by multiple users that each user logs out after being finished with it.
Draft shipment list
When logged into the APP the first view displayed is the draft shipments list. If no draft shipments exist on the customer the list is shown as empty (see first image below). If there are any draft shipments they are listed in order of time created, newest on top (see second image below). In the list view in the APP the user can switch between draft shipments list and ready shipments list by clicking the tabs, DRAFTS and READY, on top of the lists below the title Shipments. Draft shipments that are made ready in the APP will immediately disappear from the draft list and appear in the ready list (see third image below).
Edit draft shipment
To edit any draft shipment from the list the user only needs to click a single draft shipment to open edit view of the shipment (see first image below).
Loggers can be added to a draft shipment in two ways, by scanning the barcode on the back of the logger or by manually adding it from a list (see second image below). The preferred and fastest way to add the logger is to use the Scanner method. By activating the scanner on the logger the user can scan the barcode on the back of the logger. The user has to make sure to point the scanner on the mobile device at the barcode on the logger. A red light will show on the device and when scan has finished the device will emit a peep sound. When the logger is scanned in, Scan logger shows the id of the logger and turns green stating successful scan. Description and reference for the logger can also be scanned if it's available in barcode format. If description and reference is not available in barcode format the user can type the information in or alternatively skip and click DONE.
Description and reference can be manually added to the logger. In the edit view the user can click the logger to open Edit logger view (see first image below), there the two properties can be manually edited including the logger switched or cleared out to be added later. To save the changes to the logger the button SAVE & CLOSE is clicked, to remove the logger the button REMOVE LOGGER is clicked.
If any issues are with the barcode on the back of the logger the user can manually add the logger by clicking the Manual method when adding a logger. The view Select logger will then open with a list of all available loggers on the customer (see image two below). The user can then select the logger from the list, it's possible to search for the logger with the Loggers search input above the list (see image two below).
When loggers have been added to the draft shipment the shipment can either be saved (to be edited again at later time) by clicking SAVE & CLOSE or the shipment can immediately be sent to ready state by clicking SEND TO READY (see image one below). If the user want's to cancel editing the shipment then the back arrow top left can be clicked, a message will appear to notify the user that the shipment is not saved and all changes are lost if OK is clicked, the user should click CANCEL if he/she want's to continue editing the shipment (see image two below).
Side menu
The hamburger icon in the top left corner on the main screen of the app (see image one below) opens the APP menu, there the user can navigate between Shipments (draft and ready shipment lists) and Search (see image two below).
In the Search view the user can search for shipments in the pool of draft, ready, shipping, delivered and closed shipments (see image one below). Clicking draft shipments will always open up edit view. Clicking shipments in any other status mode will open a read view of the shipment with the same information as shown for draft shipments, Shipment name/reference, Origin, Destination and Loggers (see image two below).
