Release type

Minor

This minor update of SCM includes an addition to the access control system, which now enables access control based on country locations.

In addition, several minor improvements have been added to the SCM UI.

Country-based access

With this addition to the existing access management system, Admin users can now grant users access to shipments and locations based on country.

This addition will simplify access control for users that need access to shipments and locations related to specific countries. For these use cases, it is no longer necessary to manually grant users access to every location belonging to that country. New locations will automatically be added to users' access claims.

Users can be granted access to:

  • All locations within a specific country

  • All shipments with a specific origin country

  • All shipments with a specific destination country.

User access may be managed through the Account Admin UI.

When released, this feature will have no impact on the existing SCM setup. Country-based accesses must be manually applied for each user or role.

Below is an example map for a user with has access to shipments, where the destination country is China.

Integration Loggers Templates are now accessible through the SCM UI

For customers with system-to-system integration via our Integration API, the Logger Templates that are used to create shipments are now accessible for Admin users within the Admin Panel in the SCM UI.

Viewing the templates via a single user interface simplifies the validation. To make template management simpler, Admin users can now Create, Edit, and Delete the Logger Templates.

Please note that the Logger Templates are only compatible with the Integrations API when creating shipments.

Postal codes are no longer required for locations

When creating a location, a postal code is no longer a required field, due to many countries not using them. The field remains optional.

The change will not affect the definition of any existing locations in the system.

Recalled Loggers are now accessible in the Loggers tab

Users can now view loggers with a Recalled status. The list of recalled loggers is accessible through the Logger filters in the Loggers tab.

Adding custom properties to shipments is easier

To reduce the number of actions that are required when a user is adding custom properties to a shipment, the verification step has been removed (green check mark icon).

A user must simply type in the value or select the appropriate drop-down value.

The number of loggers added to a shipment is visible

During a shipment’s manual creation process, the number of logger slots that have been added to the shipment is now visible and updated every time a logger is added or removed from the shipment.

Minor changes

  • The map is now hidden on the Products tab.

  • The temperature chart now fits on a single page when printed.

Bug fixes

  • Custom properties were not sorted alphabetically in create shipment form.

  • Locations were not sorted alphabetically after editing a single location.

  • Warning and Contact templates were not sorted alphabetically in create shipment form.

  • No labels
