Extend shipment duration to 150 days
Description: The previous maximum shipment duration was 84 days. It will be extended to 150 days. This means that data from shipments will be accessible in the SCM UI and Shipment Reports for up to 150 days.
Impact: The impact for the user should be minimal as only a small fraction of shipments exceed 75 days. For the shipments that do exceed the previously set 84 day limit, no exception handling will be needed until a shipment exceeds 150 days.
Requirements impacted:
SCMRS-142: Updated to reflect the change from 84 days to 150 days.
Shipment search by custom property
Description: A new field in the shipment search will be added that allows users to search by custom properties. In the first release of this feature the search will be limited to a single custom property.
User will be able to select a custom property from a drop down list and depending on the type of property; select enumerable value or enter a text.
This should allow users to find shipments more easily using values from custom properties like Delivery no and Order no or filter results by a specific courier.
Impact: The shipment search screen is slightly updated with a new field.
Requirements impacted:
SCMRS-516: User can search for shipments by custom properties. (NEW)
Logger FW version
Description: Logger firmware version will be made available in the logger detail view.
Impact: Does not impact any user workflow but provides users with the possibility to verify the logger version if needed.
Requirements impacted:
SCMRS-514: Logger’s firmware version is accessible. (NEW)
Flexibility when selecting ignore periods
Description: When defining ignore periods for shipments, there was previously a fixed set of defined ‘ignore periods’ available through SCM UI, e.g. 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours. With this change it is now possible to define the ignore period in a flexible way in increments of 10 minutes, e.g. 70 minutes or 160 minutes.
Impact: This does not impact any existing configuration or shipment templates. But this gives admins the possibility to define ignore periods as is needed in each case and users that are creating custom shipments can also utilize this option.
Requirements impacted:
SCMRS-515: User is able to define an ignore period in the beginning of shipments (NEW)
SCMRS-375: User is able to define an ignore period in the end of shipments
Logger traces automatically loaded when opening shipments
Description: When opening a shipment the logger traces for the first logger in the shipment will be loaded automatically on the chart below.
Currently the user must first go to chart/data tab and select a logger to load the data. By auto loading the location traces the user should be able to get quick indication on where the shipment is located.
This step is considered to be a mitigation step. The next step would be to have an aggregate of position data from all loggers and display on map as the “shipment trace”.
Impact: User can see quicker where the shipment is located and which route the shipment went. This should not impact existing workflows in other ways.
Requirements impacted:
SCMRS-288: User is able to see location track of a shipment on a map (NEW)
Alarm delay extended to 800 hours
We wanted to let you know that we are working on adding this change to this version as well but we are still uncertain if it will be ready in time. This will be communicated 4 weeks prior to the release to the live system.
Description: The alarm delay, accumulative time out of bounds, can now be set up to 800 hours. Previous limit was 180 hours. This is to allow customers to define boundaries that reflect products with longer stability budgets.
Impact: User will have more flexibility when defining the alarm boundaries for a shipment. This will not impact any existing templates (shipment templates, warning templates).
Requirements impacted:
SCMRS-156: The system will allow up to 800 hours and 50 minutes of accumulative tolerance limit on a boundary.
Minor improvements
Following changes will be included in the release as well with minimum impact on the user:
Logger list and information shown in logger detail view now in sync.
When duplicating a shipment, the new duplicated shipment will now open in a new tab, making it easier for the user to go between the previously existing shipment and the new shipment.
When creating a share shipment link the user will be able to see the time and the time zone of the validity period for the link. See below in red where the additional information will be added.
Alert email generated directly from the Controlant system will be updated to include additional details.
The changes include:
Adding alarm severity to the email subject
Adding origin and destination names
Adding the account name
Adding a share shipment link to the email.
The reason for this change is twofold. First, adding more details for better readability and second, this enables better automation for our MARS team and the internal ticketing system that is used to handle incoming alerts.
Note, that this only applies to emails generated directly from the Controlant system and not emails sent out by the MARS team.
